Rose |
My
favourite, you will find me here most often when
I have time for messing around in online 3D environments.
For more information see the section of this web
site dedicated to Rose. |
Worlds |
My
second choice, if I am messing around online in
a 3D place and I am not on Rose then I am probably
here. I have made some pages about this site comparing
Rose and Worlds. |
Cybertown |
Not
for me:- I left my avatar at the bottom of a public
swimming pool and never went back. |
Project
Entopia |
I
intended to try this but never did, my research
showed that it was much to game like to have any
real attraction for me. It is popular though so
if you like online gaming maybe you should give
it a try. |
Active
Worlds |
Tried
this as a tourist, good program with great opportunities
if you like to build things out of their constructions
kits. |
Palace |
Not
a 3D chat but has a similar ambiance, you have
avatars and can create visual environments but
these are all 2D and the avatars are not animated.
This program is ver popular with teens. |
Habbo
Hotel |
Suitable
for children and teenagers, my daughter loves
this program. From what I have been able to see
it seems to be a safe environment for children
to play in, however I would strongly advise parents
to check out any online program for themselves
before allowing their children to use it. |
Outer
Worlds |
English
language server using AW, I was unable to enter
as a tourist. |
Reddog
Galaxy |
German
language server using AW, I was unable to enter
as a tourist. |
There |
Read
the user agreement for this one very carefuly.
If you have modeling or graphics skills you can
make things to sell but be aware that the contract
you sign with There gives them control of your
creations to use in anyway they see fit. |
